Dogs and horse wormers

If you allow your dogs on the yard and they like to have a munch on the muck heap how do you manage when you worm the horses? I keep mine in for 48 hours and muck out into bags rather than putting on the muck heap. Am I over zealous or does everyone make sure the muck heap is free from any possibility of wormer in the poo.

I know someone whose dog died as a result of eating wormer so always super cautious.

I have never given the droppings a second thought tbh.

Me neither, but after worming I always put the empty syringe back in the box and put it straight into the dustbin so no chance of getting at it.

I always kept wormer droppings well away from any dogs. I understood they were potentially fatal. I always worry if they find fresh droppings on a walk.
