Dogs and horses: look at it from their point of view
The British Horse Society (BHS) Safety department has produced an innovative new leaflet promoting cooperation between horse riders and dog owners. Posters raising awareness of the need for socialising between horses and dogs is also available from the Safety Department.
The leaflet, launched at Crufts 2012, provides a balanced view of how the reactions of dog, horse or owner could lead to a chase situation, and how this can be avoided.
The advice was produced in association with the Blue Cross and the Association of Chief Police Officers and has been well-received by both horse and dog owners.
You can obtain copies of the leaflet from the BHS safety department email rlucas@bhs.org.uk for details.
