Have a little problem, the two collies bark when left alone, they have little dog with them.

Big collie used to howl when we left him but next door said he went quiet after 20 minutes and it didn't bother her, now little collie has joined in and another person on the street commented to dad today about how noisey it is.

So bar someone staying with them the whole time ( which is not practical) how do I stop this?

Bark collars? Which ones?

Will this stop the barking completely? As they do like to play......

Betty used to bark when we started to kennel her in the garden. I used the "water bottle of doom" technique...

bottle of water with a sports cap: squirt in face when barking and a loud "NO!" bingo: no more barking, even when left alone all day in the kennel. my cousins wife who lives across the way from us was on maternity leave so i know she was not barking while we were away.

Mum had a chat with over the road and apparently they aren't as bad as dad said.....I think he just worded it wrong. The have moments of playing then settle down it was just one morning that they were very barky.

They aren't bothered but we told them to tell us if they change behaviour and we will get it sorted.
