Dogs, carpets and bicarbonate of soda....

It is also brilliant at getting grease off kitchen tiles, you must mix it with water into a paste slap it on then wipe off, and it removes all the grease, also good for stained enamel baths shake some on the stain add white vinegar leave for a few minutes while it fizzles then rub with a cloth.

I will admit I went to the shop this evening and bought some more while I was there! The stuff I used to remove the smell was quite elderly :o (but still worked!)

I am paranoid now about my house smelling. Next time a non dog owning friend comes over I shall ask them to walk around and sniff.
Except I am not sure I have any non dog owning friends, so I will just carry on happily with olfractory ignorance. :-)

Does it work for cat pee too? My 15 yr old cat has had one or two accidents on my bedroom carpet, and carpet cleaner and Febreze both have failed to eliminate the smell? (I use it a lot for degreasing round my hotplates, and with a little white vinegar it's unbeatable for cleaning stuff. And it cleans dishwashers too, better than the expensive dishwasher cleaner they would have you spend money on)

It was when someone commented on my carpet thread that they couldn’t abide dog smelling carpets..... I was surprised there were any other kind to be honest, having had dogs all my life? 😛
