Dogs dying again

So I won't be taking the spangles to see the MIL, then! There was a spate of dogs dying here a couple of years ago: apparently someone was putting poisoned meat in the park.:(

Yep, I did hear that it was possibly a fungus. Shame because there are some nice walks around there!! I just totally avoid the place, I'm too paranoid!

had a similar situation here in Doncaster this summer with 7 (i think) dogs dying after walking in a local park and/or adjoining woodland. Local council said it was the water, tests were done but nothing was found. i know the owner of one of the dogs and to hear his story was terrible, he ended up having his dog PTS as he couldnt bear to see it suffer any more. He said his dog had never been in either the lake in the park or in the wood, so his personal opinion was that it was some type of poisoning

We are in blidworth, these are our woods.

The weekend that the dogs first starting dying we were riding in the woods. The horses' throats swelled up after 24hrs, but they were fine otherwise (probably because they are so much bigger than the dogs).

It is definitely back in the area though :(

I would be suspicious that it's some kind of fungal spores as it seems to happen in the fungal season and a couple of horses seem to have been affected too, but not humans??

Very strange and very worrying, perhaps a botanists input and a visit of the route the owners took? Trouble is who's going to be willing to pay for it.
