Dogs eating grass??

My dog has starting eating little bits of grass every now and then i have noticed. Why do they do this and can it cause them any harm ??

I seem to remember when i was little and had a cat that it ate grass if it needed to be sick as this helped, or something along those lines.

I think its something to do with digestion. Our two do it all the time, but just the tough woody grass stems, and have never been noticeably sick, and never done them any harm

Yep mine do it all the time - especially my lurcher.

I always thought it was to make themselves be sick too, but since I have had him I have noticed he never IS sick, so I think it must just be a digestion aid

As stated it's a digestion aid and perfectly normal. My older lab grazes like a horse! Lol If they have an upset tummy then they tend to eat a little more and if they are sick on it, don't panic.
