Hey guys,

I love taking my dog out to restaurants, but if it's crowded she gets too excited. Does anyone have and tips?

There's a new iPhone app that's coming out soon that lets you search for places that allow dogs. Check it out:

I would really like to make use of it, so that I don't just have to go to our local pub all the time!

How many of you take your dogs out to restaurants? There is a pub near us where there are almost as many dogs as people!

Not too local - but any restaurant in the south of France:D:D There's usually at least one dog in every restaurant you go in, considering the Brits are supposed to be the great animal loversthe French seem to be much more laid back about their dogs and the dogs all seem to behave beautifully.

I have noticed that as well actually - maybe it is the attitude of the owners that determines the attitude of the dogs! I also think the more you take them out the better they are - and in France in the summer everyone takes their dogs all the time!

Sorry but even though I am a dog lover and am quite immune to dog hair in food, I do not want to go out to eat and have other peoples dogs around.

When I sit down to eat my dogs move away from wherever I am eating. Be a bit annoying for other people if they moved to another table!

I do not even take my dogs into dog friendly shops. They automatically stop at the door and then just move to the side and sit and wait for me to return.

I am not French and nor do I particularly like many of the French traits!

I would be very worried about my lurcher being stolen if I left him outside a shop. But then I am French, what can you expect! Hardly human obviously.

Ignorant generalisation. Lived there much, have you, to actually have a proper idea of the culture as opposed to what you see on TV? Dear me, I am taken aback at this.

Clearly, in fact, I'm surprised you can even read or type! Je rigole, bien sûr.
