Took my bullmastiff girl to the beach yesterday and she was too hot. She didn't enjoy the heat one bit. We were only there for about an hour for a gentle stroll, she didn't want to play or even go in the sea.
Now I'm wondering what to do for her walks in the summer with the dog walker.
She currently is walked about 11 - 12midday ish and this has worked really well but she isn't going to enjoy this in the heat of the summer. I clearly can't ask the walker to arrive at 6am or 8pm when I could walk her myself anyway but wondered what others with walkers do.
I don't want to lose my walker as she's great for creche days and i'll need her in the winter. Do you think it would be rude to ask for ' shady walks' somewhere with a high density of trees etc
