dogs kill pony

This was posted yesterday. Last week two lads set their Bull terrier dogs on our Stallion -at the time/now gelded. When my husband intervened they pulled a knife on him. The lads found it hilarious. Police as useless as ever.

A couple of years ago, 1 dog de bordeaux dog attacked my 15.2hh TB mare. 1 dog on its own and I am sure if we hadn't been there the mare would be dead too. It jumped up and leaped onto her withers and was trying to pull her down. The dog owners said their dog was only playing and I shouldn't be worried.the fact that they were trespassing didn't seem to bother them.when I said I could play with a shotgun.they didn't see the funny side at all..and they weren't teenage thugs, they were probably late 40s early 50s.
Too many people just don't understand their dogs enough.....a dog is a predator when all is said and done.

My friends horse was attacked by a large dog on Sunday. The dog actually launched himself at the horse and latched onto his throat. The horse (as you can imaging) was uncontralable and took of down a busy street.
My friend was walking him in hand and was very distressed, he ran after him but couldn't catch him. The horse (called Perry) then turned with the dog still swinging from his throat and headed for home at full gallop, his owner managed to grab him and was trying to hold perry whilst trying to get the dog off.
It was with help from a woman who came out of her house with a broom, who beat the dog and then managed to get the broom stick into the dogs mouth to get him to release . All this was happening whilst the poor horse (all 16hh of him) was in a blind panick. The owner was no where to be seen and the dog ran off.
The horse needed over 160 stitches but thankfully we think he will pull through. The police didn't seem bothered, they didn't want to start looking the streets for the dog. You can imagine if a child would of been riding a pony or a child with another dog, what the bloody hell are these people doing with these dogs. I love animals but if i clap eyes on that dog so help me god i will kill it myself. Needless to say my friend has know sworn he will be walking the street with a bloody big baseball bat in case the dog strikes again.
