Does your dog do any weird thing and you've thought to yourself why???????????
My old mongrel dog used to attack bigger dogs, but be scared of smaller dogs - WHY?!
One day this gigantic Dane came bowling down the sand dunes towards me and Babs, he immediately took off (at the end of his lead may I add) and attacked this Dane, who looked totally confused and ran away!
Yet we'd often pass JRT's who would absolutely terrify him just by being there!!
Is it the law in dog land to fight bigger dogs and be scared of smaller dogs?!
Onto stupid dog owners:
Way back when I still had Babs I would always walk him on the lead- he only came off when other dogs werent around. The ammount of times whilst walking him we were attacked by other dogs (allowed to walk off the lead even tho they were scrappy)
Case 1:
Weimerana - walking off lead in the park. Ran up to and set upon Baba, the owner was MILES away from his dog, I (16 at the time) had to separate one huge dog from my medium mongrel and when the owner caught up all he said was
"Naughty boy" to his dog!!!!!!!!!!!
Case 2:
Walking Babs back from the park, a BC came running round the corner and started fighting with Babs, she was NASTY, not just normal 'all mouth no action' dog fighting but she was laying into him big time.
I ended up picking her up by the scruff and suspending her in mid air - with the other hand holding back my dog. There was this guy WATCHING me across the road who then just walked OFF so I shouted
"Dont help me then!" (I was about 18)
"Not my problem love" he shouted - GRRR
I ended up having to launch the BC across the grass verge to get her away from us! To this day I dont know what would have happened if she wasnt small enough for me to hold...
So sad that her owners couldnt take proper care of her and she wouldnt have had to get launched at all...
