dogs partly ripped dew claw off

daughter took him for a walk, came back and it was bleeding and partly off, hes not letting me look at it, but i got him to stop licking it for a few minutes and its bleeding but not lots, got a pad and bandage on it till OH is able to help me look at it, anything else i should do just now other than keep it clean and covered?

Am unsure which the dew claw is but my dog has done the same with the claw on inside of leg! I asked for advice on here and I told was to cut what was left off and leave it. My dog tore threw the vessel I think, but he's fine now I used alcohol free wipes and warm water.

I would bath it in a mild salt water, as long as it isnt bleeding loads and clean it will sort its self out, unless the dog is chewing it, I would remove the bandage and let it dry out
