Dogs really do want to help

Alex had an over-tired toddler meltdown this evening and Roxie was really affected by it.

She brought all her toys to him to play which usually makes him laugh. When that didn’t work she just lay down next to him while he cried.
She’s now snuggled up with him on the sofa while we watch his favourite show (Dog Squad) before bedtime. She doesn’t usually snuggle him on the sofa as he’s so wiggly and she doesn’t like it.

She’s such a good girl wanting to help him feel better

I think she definitely sees him as part of her pack. She loves playing with him (on her terms) and would definitely try to protect him from harm.

I think she prefers when her walks are toddler free though!
