Dogs rescues in the NW?

ive obviously tried all the big well known ones, but does anyone know any smaller reputable rescues in the North West?

desperately seeking a little Chi or Chi x to rehome but finding it a bit hard work TBH as most rescues are a flat NO to any cats or kids (kids are 10 and 13yo very mature and very quiet,and used to cats/dogs/horses/chickens/lambs/calves and cats are all dog friendly and calm) OR if ok with cats and kids they want another dog on the premises too!!!!

my OH works from home and we have our own land in a very rural area so lots to offer but ive been looking for a month, checking websites daily, calling someone most days and still no luck

any ideas? we have decided against importing from abroad due to health risks and not knowing if they would chase the cats.

I was about to say a rescue until I saw the type you are after.....no idea on dinkies I'm afraid.

Have you tried breed rescue? It may be too far but Dogs Trust Kenilworth were looking to rehome a number of chis that they had taken in from a puppy farm.

We got our dog from phoenix dog rescue in Warrington. Not sure what they have available at the moment but will rehome with kids and cats so long as the dog is suitable

I think they only have Staffie types in at the moment, but a friend volunteers with Warrington Animal Welfare, and I know they'll rehome to families with kids over 5.

these were all rehomed super quickly....i was too slow!

I'm not sure how up-to-date their website is, so it might be worth giving them a call, too.
