Why is it that people do this?
When I was walking home from the horses today we came across a young german shepherd and her mid 40's owner. Both dogs were on leads luckily - we were on the pavement next to an extremely busy road. The shephard got all excited and wanted to play with Poppy so I went back to a side path. The owner told me "it's ok my dog is very friendly" so I told her mine isn't, she loves people but really doesn't like other dogs!
What does she do? That's right! She follows me into the path and allows her dog to sniff all over mine
Luckily she'd left enough space for me to get Poppy out up the pavement again because she was pulling the "I'm going to snap at you" face. It really confuses me that people obviously don't listen and she's lucky that Poppy is all snap and growl and no bite!
