Dogs Trust Fun Day in West Lothian

Too far for me i'm afraid. Sounds fun though - hope you have a nice time :)

ETA - you do realise it will be at least an hour before you leave the car park for all the attention he's going to get from people passing him! :D

Ooooh I've just seen this - I'm car/house/dog-sitting at the moment so might very well take along my 'adopted' collie and pretend he's mine.

Will keep an eye out for you if I do go....and attempt to steal Korben :D

it's only 5 mins from my yard so might pop in. My dog isn't a rescue though, do you think that matters?

Doesnt matter - its a day to raise funds for the organisation so its open to all. Come along and look out for us and come say hello - we will be the ones trying to calm down the very excited *I want to play with everything I see* malamute in my sig :D

Well that was a blast :D My daughter won a 1000 piece puzzle, a teddy and a bottle of rum - shes 11 so wont be keeping that :D Korben got a certificate for doing the Doggie Dash in 5.06 seconds - when I called him he ran towards me, forgot to stop and knocked me flying backwards, in turn I knocked the woman with the stopwatch over and we had to do it all again - I couldnt stop laughing (and neither could the crowd :D) - he won 6th place in the Best Behaved Puppy class out of about 10 dogs - he chewed his lead the whole way through the class so I have no idea how he got places, I think the judge just liked him :D They had a sled dog display and he went nuts watching it - almost ripped my arm off the wee bugger and he got too friendly with a rather large Irish Wolfhound who decided to tell him to back off and almost swallowed him whole!!!!

I got asked a million times if he was a husky/huskamute/husky cross - Im gonna get him a sign that says "hi I'm a Malamute" - and Mollichop, you were right - it took me ages to get anywhere cause people kept stopping to pet him and tell him how cute he is :D

Nice man offered to take a photo of me and Korben, unfortunately there were some slobbers in my lense haha

Luckily (or unluckily, I can't decide) the car actually belongs to my friends and I'm car/house/dog sitting for them...they did warn me it can be tempramental! One minute working, the next...oooh I got no gears...or accleration...or brakes! Thank goodness for handbrakes!

Dog was most unimpressed  think he'd have loved the agility!

i was there too. it was so busy tho. I saw at the side of the a malamute at the side of the the doggy dash but i thought it looked a wee bit older and it was with a man. Didn't like to stare lol.
I just had a wander asnd a chat with the nice people on froim the fife greyhound rescue.
Have you ever seen so many greyhounds in one place, well apart from the dog track lol.
I know the guy with the baby border collie in the puppy class, how did he do?

It was really busy - fantastic turnout and yes, never seen so many greyounds. Did you see the massive Irish Woolfhound that almost ate my dog lol - she snapped at him and his whole head nearly vanished into her mouth....guy was so apologetic and Korben got lots of biscuits :D Im sure if she wanted to hurt him she would have - she was just giving him a row. I was there with my daughter. OH was in the house feeling poorly so it wouldnt have been me you saw :(

I was talking to the guy with the border collie - he was lovely and gave Korben a treat, well rather Korben mugged him for one as soon as he saw the treat bag - beautiful wee puppy, they got 4th I think.
