I'm so looking forward to Sunday. Going to DU to a Flyball tournament. I haven't competed for a couple of weeks and have missed it. Hope the rain keeps off.
If you are there come and say Hi. I'll be around the flyball arena most of the day as we have teams in most divs and I am running Monty in Starters as well as Skye in div 4. I'm with the Molten Teams.

I am so glad the forecast has changed, it was set to rain all weekend!

Best of luck with the flyball, I will try my best to wave at you, I am usually easily identifiable but there's gonna be a ton of huskies there. :p

Hope the weather is better tomorrow, I limped home early as I was drenched. :o :D

Had a good time though, relived our youth in the Agility and got soaked in the dog show but it was fun. :D

Also invested in some Cherry Barkwells :D which smell so nice I'm tempted to try one myself :o

Squillions of Huskies!

Yes the wanky Northern Inuit society has a stall there, grr. :p

I am terribly excited for tomorrow, I don't suppose you saw a spotty grey and white husky with a very curly tail hanging around the SHWA stall? :D

Possibly! I'm afraid they all merged after a while. :o

Well I didn't get to meet any of you. Quite disappointed really.
Didn't have a very good day really, Skye somehow lost the plot in her flyball. We are a little concerned as she usually runs so well.
Yesterday she was running out coming back down the lane and on one run she got to the box, got her ball and then just stood there! She looked really worried and confused.
I'm wondering if it was the crowd watching that may have spooked her.
She acted like she does when there are guns or crow scarers going off, but we couldn't hear any. It has worried us. Hope she is OK. She seems quiet in herself today so maybe is is not feeling 100%?
The good news is that her team still managed 4th place and Monty's Stater team came 2nd.
I did manage a quick look round and saw the Northern Innuits. Lovely dogs.

Hi Goya,

Sorry things didnt go quite as planned, I did watch the flyball for a while, but dont have a clue who you were! It was unbelievably busy and the crowds were right up close to the actual competition so i guess it will have been a bit spooky! well done to your team anyway!

I had a lovely day with the dogs, didnt do much (made the mistake of entering the prettiest bitch class in the fun dog show - there were 97 entries!!! - we were in there for hours! - plus we was robbed!) Millie was amazing on the have a go flyball and was so cute in the coursing - the guy said she was a natural! Suzy was panicked when she lost sight of the lure and me, so she jumped out of the arena! got the hang of it once she was back in though! Just very happy that she was very chilled and relaxed around all the other dogs!

Definitely go back if they do it again - came away with an unbelievable number of packets of free treats!

Oh and had them both weighed - Suzy 20kilos (although vets at free health check suggested she could do witha little more weight on - not sure i completely agree), Millie a mere 4kilos ahhhh - teeny tiny Millster!

Thanks for responding hedwards. sorry to have missed you. It was a bit hectic round the Flyball rings, but great that people took an interest. I spent quite a while chatting to a spectator about the rules etc of flyball during Division 1.It made it good PR I think.
I am quite worried about Skye though. It was so out of character for her, although quiet today she did get excited when I got the balls out on our walk this morning. ( I don't usually play ballie the day after a tournament but I just wanted to see her reaction)
I did watch a bit of the terrier racing. It was quite amusing--they were all over the place. lol. I also caught sight of the fancy dress dog comp. Some people had really thought it out.
And best of all--- we didn't get wet!

Hopefully it was just the crowd watching that spooked Skye and she'll be ok next time.

I was at an agility show yesterday where my Skye seemed to like purple, she won 2 6th place rosettes (1 out of 127 and 1 out of 181 dogs)!

Looking forward to meeting you in a few weeks at Just Dogs.

Thanks. She does seem much brighter this morning--in fact she woke me up at 6am by jumping on my bed! God bless her!
