Just wondering how many other people's dogs watch the tv when there's a dog on it? I know they say dogs cant see in 2d but I swear they can. Ashkii will put his face right up against the tv when theres a dog on it even if theres no sound to get his attention, he has just been transfixed by the dogs trust ad lol.

My younger flatcoat Teasel often watches TV, any animal programmes, the racing and a lot of Crufts. She sits bolt upright and often wags her tail. The other dogs take no notice at all.

My Cocker Spaniel watches TV a LOT!! His favourite programmes are football and any animal programmes! And he also loves the meerkats on the compare the market adverts, especially baby oleg!! It's so funny to watch him watching the TV!

Well our JRT started barking when at the tv the other day when 'you've been framed' was on and a dog was jumping up and down on it. She isn't usually the noisy type so I would definitely say she was watching it .

Our 2 year old lab watches all sorts of things on tv. He seems to like the NatGeo wild progs and any others where animals are running around. He doesn't wag his tail when he watches tv but he does when he dreams.

Our border collie doesn't seem to notice but the terrier X goes crazy when there are dogs on telly - races up to it, barks and tries to touch the screen with his paw!

Foxy, the 6yo GSD, is an addict. She sits watching the screen with her ears erect. If a dog appears for a split second, she sees it off! It always works. She barks, the intruder goes away. Same with cats which seem to really annoy her! She enjoys most action films, especially cowboys. She also knows the difference between various species of animals especially horses and sheep, though I sometimes have to remind her that the latter are verboten.

Max, the 6 month old GSD, is not the slightest bit interested in TV -- yet! Otherwise, he is your typical teenager.

yes, setter loves to watch sheep dog trials, agility, huskies and will also bravely see off dire wolves when we watch Game of Thrones. And the dire wolves are the only time I have ever seen him see anything off and he's 9.

My 8 month old JR pup is sat on the sofa as I type watching the racing from Cheltenham on RUK. He loves horse racing and anything where a dog appears, especially the new Midsummers with Sykes. The two ESS arent bothered really although occasionally their interest is aroused when something barks.

My whippety lurcher DEF watches TV! We quite often watch youtube videos of rabbits and other lurchers racing/hunting on the laptop. The actual TV doesnt seem to interest him as much though. There is no way he cant see whats happening! His eyes follow the rabbit/dog/lure across the screen :)

My little terrier loves watching TV. All the obvious stuff - dogs, wildlife shows, anything else with animals in. But she will also sit and watch soaps and drama's. I think it is the movement on the screen she likes. And she definately recognises cats and squirrels!

R has a bean bag in the front room and she will watch the tv sometimes but she does get annoyed as sometimes she doesn't like what is on and huff off :) (she thinks she human!)

Her fave is you've been framed funnily enough!

My whippet cross likes wildlife programmes so much she actually recognises David attenborough's voice and plants herself in the best TV watching place

Tucker loves TV and has his favourite videos on YouTube too :D
