I would think so, you can just rinse the surface off under an outside tap.
All else fails they could house train the other dog?
Too late for that he's 12. We used to have these dogs at our house when they went away and neither of them ever made any mess.

A little update for anyone interested, the owner has asked the vet to swap from previcox to metacam as the previcox never showed that it was doing much, should see on Friday when I walk them if that's having any improved effect. I sent her a link for some yoga mats, we'll see if she does anything with it but she videod him on his walk yesterday and he's still super happy to be going out for a 10 minute wander ( needs the yoga mat to stop him slipping in his excitement about going out) and he only has a small limp currently so big improvement on when I arrived for the dog sit although still not totally right. He wasn't interested in eating when I got there at the start of his hols but the day after the amantadine he started wolfing his food down and has kept up a good appetite so that's good. She did message me last night about cbd oil, I said I didn't have any experience of it and she should just try the different nsaid for now, at least it seems that she has realised she needs to take action and hopefully these positive improvements in him continue for a while yet.

CBD oil is metabolised in the liver and can affect the metabolism of other other drugs including NSAIDs and paracetamol. It can alter the concentration of medication which could increase the risk of side effects or cause the other drugs to be ineffective.

Thanks I thought it wasn't supposed to be used with nsaids and told her to stick with vet recommendations, I think she has got her head out of the sand and is a bit in panic mode now.

Well some good and bad news, last Friday before I knew she had run out of amantadine and not got more I got some canine clear max mobility supplements for him ( ingredients looked decent, are OK to use with meds and if they don't help well no harm), last Friday he was terrible as had been without the amantadine for over a week and still no mats or floor coverings to help him. We'll today still no amantadine or floor coverings but definitely a sounder dog so yeah for the supplements ( can't help wondering if the improvement would be even better with amantadine or galliprant or something but hey you can only do so much). As per bad owner thread rant I am really thinking I will have to stop walking him as its too much emotionally for me. I'm dog sitting for her mum next week so when I saw her on Wednesday I told her I was thinking I might have to stop as I couldn't watch him struggle when things like the drugs and the flooring that could help aren't being done, maybe her mum will get through to her 🤞
