Ok so have rashly entered the walk and trot dressage test on Wednesday evening at Rodbaston, just need to try and convince Pidge that it means "no canter"

so question is should I plait for this or not? Will a neatly pulled mane do?

well normally I'd be flying round like a maniac getting ready but have booked the afternoon off work so I can chill and get ready and I do like a plaited mane but if Pidge knows he is going to a 'party' he fidgets for England and due to his height I have to stand on a stool to plait him. Any tips on how I can get him to stand still?
P.S. I think I'll need lots of luck not to come bottom

I'll be happy if we get over 50%

I recently did a walk and trot test and I did plait but I was the only one that had plaited out of a class of 25, I was glad I did though.

First of all good luck! I am doing my 2nd walk/trot test this Sunday and I will be plaiting as it gets me in the right frame of mind! George can be a fidget sometimes so I gave him a bucket of hay whilst I did it - also had the good effect of keeping his head down, and at 16.3 this is definately a good thing!

i would plait, it is good practise, and if it is dressage you want to do, it gets you in the right frame of mind for each competition. good luck
