Domosedan when pregnant

Hello there,
I am new to this, and may not have posted this in the right section, so please redirect me if this is the case. I am wondering if you could advise please. I recently used Domosedan on my horse as a sedative, administered orally via the syringe. I did not come into contact with the product at all, it went straight in her mouth, without touching my hands. I have just discovered that I am pregnant (I am pregnant, not my horse!) - I will have been 3 weeks pregnant at the time of administration. I remember reading on the packaging that pregnant women should not be exposed to the product. Can you please tell me why this is, what exactly 'exposure' means and if I have anything to worry about.

If you did not handle the drug ie none touched the skin, mouth etc then you were not exposed and you should be fine.....however I would strongly recommend talking to your doctor rather than coming on here as if you were exposed time is fairly critical as exposure to this drug can cause miscarraige and other serious side effects in humans.....but it is a reversible drug in equines so it may be possible to reverse in humans if medical care is sought quickly enough.

Routine safety measures should be employed to protect practitioners and handlers.
In the case of accidental oral intake or self-injection, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet to the doctor but DO NOT DRIVE as sedation and changes in blood pressure may occur. Avoid skin, eye or mucosal contact.
Immediately after exposure, wash the exposed skin with large amounts of fresh water. Remove contaminated clothes that are in direct contact with skin.
In the case of accidental contact of the product with eyes, rinse with large amounts of fresh water.
If symptoms occur, seek the advice of a doctor.
If pregnant women handle the product, special caution should be observed not to self inject as uterine contractions and decreased foetal blood pressure may occur after accidental systemic exposure.
