Dom's first 9!

We had our first trip to Sparsholt today in the hope of getting the other part of our regional qualifier.

Lovely venue with lovely people - but My Word! the wind cuts across it like a knife!

Dom did a nice test - not one of his best but......

got his first 9!!

OK

It was for 'Halt. Immobility for 4 seconds and proceed in medium walk' but it was still a 9.


Didn't qualify but it was a big class with lots of lovely horses and Dom was a little tense as he often is at a new venue. He came 4th in the Restricted section and 6th overall in the whole class.

That, combined with his perfect loading and general good behaviour (and that 9!!) meant I came home more than happy with my clever cob.

And his talented rider of course! (Thanks Mike)

PS - that is a movement I have to do tomorrow, somehow I doubt we will be getting a 9 for it

Well done you, I suck at those silly halts - I get like 6s always. He looks like he's working nicely in the warm-up

G_M_II - it was our first visit but we'll certainly be back. Didn't stop to watch any other classes. With 28 in the class it was bad enough waiting for sheets with the icy blast whistling around the lorry.
