some of my mats when from warwickshire. they had a good time.

Also my mate jess went and her horse got loose cause it had a pyscho on her.

they do go for varying prices from megabucks to nowt.

what did they go for? im constantly amazed at what people think they can get for horses. sales will often give you a better market idea than the classifieds.

example: someone is concidering paying 4000 for a just backed 4 yr old with no breeding(or at least they didnt say if it did have papers/breeding).

however i am selling for 3000 more, a 5yrs sj with olympic bloodines which is schooled, that clears 1.40m loose.

which is better priced?
id be supprised if i did get 7000k for mine, because although horses are advertised at daft prices are they really sold at this price?. I doubt it unless you get a plonker with no sence and too much money

Saw one 3 yo mare go through for 90 000 guineas!!!!!

And another for 20 000 guineas.

Both had Norther Dancer and Nijinski in them!

The horses that were at DBS for the 6 days were all TBs mostly for racing.

Its not just a general horse sale. The horses have to have vet checks and be certifyed. and theres a 2 and a half inch think catalouge that costs £10 telling you about the different horses and what lots they are and all their info and blood lines ect!!!

Most horses have either/both of those stallions in them.
A pedigree most concentrates on the dam line, ie is ther horse half brother/sister to any blacktype. Dam sires matter, and did the mare have black type etc etc. Fashoinable sires tend to fool most people, they can make a horse with no page whatsoever sell for £5k plus.
I went on Thursday and Friday, brought one on Friday.

We took 3....none of them reached their reserves, BUT they still reached alot of guineas...2 of them were absolute witches as well, I still can't believe to this day we got them presentable, me and a 13 year old!!Both were 4 years old, one by Mister Mat out of Drumquin Girl..... i think this mare only made it up to 6/8 guineas, whilst the other out of Naheez out of Karawill....all of which means nothing to me!!The second also got to aroud about the same but didn't reach reserve, so the little bitches came back home with us!
