Hi folks

I,m currently looking to move house somewhere in central- ish scotland, with plans to adopt donkeys , but my problem I've never owned a horse, donkey before, and kinda looking for advise, firstly how much land would i need to sustain at the most three.

I echo what Wonkey Donkey has said and will add a bit more! The Donkey Sanctuary Care Courses are excellent and are free (donations are gratefully received) and you can also foster donkeys from The Donkey Sanctuary and you will have access to help from them all the time. I work for EST (part of The Donkey Sanctuary providing donkey riding therapy to children with special needs). Our donkeys have access at all times to good clean barley straw to eat with a small amount of hay at night in the winter, only a few of the older ones with less teeth require extra feed and hay (which is a bit softer and easier for them to chew!).
Check out their website www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk
Donkeys are just fantastic, best of luck!
