Donkey peelers - traditional shearers in Spain.

I randomly have been fascinated by hand sheering videos and came across this pair of videos. The traditional shearer or 'peeler' of donkeys and mules in Spain.
Interesting stuff - -subtitles aren't great but good enough to get the general gist.

The chap in the 2nd video doesn’t use a twitch. The donkey in the first doesn’t look deserving of such treatment -

Those big clippers they use for the detail work would do some damage in the wrong hands….I had to pay £497 this week to the vet - for ONE stitch - because we accidentally cut the cat with (proper grooming) scissors (the cat didn’t even notice and is absolutely fine).
