I was worse for wear this morning after a night out but had booked myself in for a dressage test at the show they hold every month at our yard. Daisy from here was coming up anyway to do a test and I went and forgot my hat (her's was too big) so I couldn't do test

She did her test, got off, got straight on my horse, quickest warm up ever....a couple of laps of arena...then down centre line to do test. It was only walk and trot but last time I did it on my mare I only got 57% and came 4th she got 70. something % and won! She's not even ridden my horse for about 8 months (once) and before then about a year ago!

Hmmm guess who won't be getting another invite up!

I do have a friend who having ridden once in the last 6 months and not schooled anything since riding our 2 12 months ago took my mums to do a dressage test and got a 70, when she is normally lucky to hit 60.

jumps her beautifully too.

But she doesnt quite click with frank jumping, he doesnt like someone telling him what to do all the time

LOL

That would happen to me too I know - but then the only HHOer who has ridden Bob is TableDancer, who is just everso slightly better than me (think advanced eventer rather than intro!)

ha ha ha just seen this. you did look bad this morning, did want to laugh at Andy though - far from the sympahtetic loving husband

did you find your rosette i lieft with Andy or did he give it you when i left?

she was lovely to ride. shes much more consistant with her ridden work since i last rode her, shes a credit to you and Andy and all the hard work youve put into her.

one morning you might find my grumpy baggage in Mols stable and Mol missing!

Oooh no don't steal her - she's my little babes
smile.gif
plus I couldn't get on your horse except with maybe a step ladder!

I did have a go at the clear round after Lisa said I could borrow her hat and we have now renamed it 'refusal round'. The aim is to refuse every fence and then eventually jump them all after much turning, dashing past and banana shapes. Mol was REALLY good at this new jumping round - she sometimes refused twice!

We did have much more control than usual though so that's a plus. Trouble was as there was only one other person doing jumping - and they got there first - Sarah let them put the course up and they were putting these fillers at funny angles in front of the fences so Mol was not happy. I just need more practise - we both do.
Thanks for doing my test though

to be honest I thought you rode her better than ever and I usually think you ride her nicely. Thank your mum for the tea - tell her she is welcome back any time

I got the rosette - you should have kept it - and no the annoying husband was not sympathetic. That women on the bay horse (not the evil one
smile.gif
), the one that went in last doing P18, apparently got 80%

oh i never thought. were def going over next time its on so ill let you know, no guarantee i can steal Nics gorgeous Mol but the baggage will be there with her tantrums
tongue.gif

Oh Kate - i never thought as youre not far away are you. ill let you know as well be going next time (next month sometim) ill let you know the date and if youre free itll be great to see you.
no photos as my mum was reading for me, and Nic was holding either Mol or Chant and Nics OH was writing in the judges car

you are more than welcome, love riding her cos shes such a sweety - even though i make her buck lol. and no i couldnt keep the rosette it was yours and Mols even though i rode her - owner keeps rosette!

mum loves making cuppas - next time hopefully dingle12 and Kate will be there so there will be a trailer full for her to make drinks for

she makes as good a hostess as she does groom lol.
that bay was lovely and after watching it spook at the jump wing it rode lovely and really did well - she won didnt she in both classes? very nice pair, looked lovely together.

bad Mol, naughty pony! more practice eh? and she worked so well in the dressage, glad you got on though and rode. did you ride Jackson as well as Mol?

No I had the camera too! I really wasn't with it today

I was holding my horse while Daisy did the test on her horse and then was holding her horse.
We have a show every month and people off the yard are always welcome. It is quite informal and a lovely atmosphere.
She does (grudgingly....just teasing!) deserve a HUGE well done for winning as this horse was labelled dangerous and a nightmare that had too much attitude on my first yard and on the second one the trainer there couldn't do a thing with her. I was at rock bottom til I moved onto present yard, got a different instructor and a kick up the arse from another long term instructor who has also been great with my mare (but blooming well lives too far away to go to twice a week!).
Just need to get the jumping sorted now and we'll be away!
