Hi,

I think you need to have a chat with your YO about how you feel and clear the air a little. If they advertised for a livery in the first place then presumably they were prepared for someone to be coming and going and don't find it an invasion of their privacy at all.

To reach my barns and fields my Boarders come right past my house, my windows overlook all the fields so it is virtually impossible for me NOT to see what people are doing. Your YO may feel that by keeping out of the way she is giving YOU some privacy and trying not to make you feel as if she is looking over your shoulder all the time. I am in and out all the time, I pass the time of day if my Boarders come, but unless they specifically ask I tend to leave them to their own devices.

In the long run, if you feel uncomfortable then it may be best to cast around for a larger yard. If you begin to feel as if you don't want to do your horses because of an atmosphere (real or imagined) then it entirely negates the point of having horses for enjoyment. You have to be happy to enjoy the horses, no point otherwise.

As for phoning to ask about turnout, have a chat and just say that you'd like your horse turned out if they are turning out, and in if they are not. Perhaps offer to pay if they can do it for you if it is inconvenient. It sounds as if there needs to be some sort of agreement about that issue.
