Don't know what to do :/

I really don't know what to do i've had my boy 4 years and have decided that i need to sell him as i've totally lost my confidence on him, i've had an operation that probably not helped as im a what if person. He's very forward going but can be spooky and nervy occasionally on hacks.
He's been out of work a while and now have someone take him out for me twice a week, and is doing ok, she is an experience rider, i've had viewings but they are coming back with 'oh i find him to strong to hack' and he lazy to school, i don't school him as don't have a school and im a happy hacker, he is a strong hack eager to go out but does settle, but he is always alert to what is around him. Im having calls constantly to loan, to which i've replied he is for sale only, then i get novices. Im starting to see quirks coming tho now he's being ridden, he has started to buck, and stubborn when he doesn't want to go past things, don't get me wrong this girl pushes him on and doesn't let him get away with it, but he didn't do this before, also wont stand still to be tacked up, another thing he didn't do. Im having his back and teeth checked again, they were checked in feb, does this sound like pain to you, as i think it is but i've done all this before and there's nothing wrong with the bleeder lol.

Its so hard finding the right person for him, there doesn't seem to be alot of experience riders buying at the moment, oh i don't know i just feel so fed up today, tea and biscuits if u got this far.

Personally I would look into a good sales livery. If you are already paying someone to ride him twice a week and his behaviour is becominga problem then it will take you longer to sell him and therefore cost more in the long run.

If you have ruled out physical reasons for his behaviour I would put it down to not enough work, twice a week is just enough to get him a little fitter but not give him much to actually use himself, plus different people taking him out to hack when trying him will probably give him the opportunity to mess around if that is his inclination.

As for selling most experienced riders actually want a well educated horse, unless he is either young, very cheap or advertised as a project, they will not be looking to put work in on something that is only a hack and not a great one at that, hence you get less capable people that cannot ride him, vicious circle.
I would look to getting him schooled, nothing major but just enough that he will go fairly sweetly on the flat and pop some small fences, this will make him more attractive to someone looking for an allrounder who will be more able to cope with his moments of less good manners.

A sales livery or local instructor/ trainer should be able to put some much needed polish on in a fairly short period, provided he is reasonably straightforward and give you more chance of a sale, otherwise it is a buyers market and unless you are very lucky he will be overlooked when there are more educated horses available.
