Have never done one of these posts before but Soph got really really fat when she went on the summer grass this year (her first summer with me ) anyway this was her today so how does she look? Would like to know as might have to start giving her and moose hay as there paddock is getting pretty bare. Only got these with riders on board but hopefully will give you an idea. Please no comments on ashes lack of hat,she was sitting on soph as soph doesn't do standing still, she got bored after a minute and got off.

If you compare that to when she was fighting fit and competing you can see she is about right, she had more muscle over her back then and in her hindquarters, but other than that you seem to have got her back to a good weight

Agree with mother-hen - she doesnt look too bad now. She is a difficult horse to keep weight off but with plenty of exercise and not much grass its do-able. Keep going with it, she wont starve and will almost certainly let you know when she is feeling a bit on the hungry side!!

Im glad you guys think she is an ok weight. MH i did actually compare her now to that photo you posted! do you think i need to start giving them hay and if so shall i soak it ?
 
She looks fine to me weight wise especially as it's summer. My boy has suddenly ballooned over the last month despite being muzzled, worked and in during the day, so I know how hard it is to keep the weight off.
Sophie's very pretty and looks so much fun
