Quite hard to understand why the thread has gone.
I hope Janet is still around.
HHo - a message to your admin - maybe it is better to keep the knowledgeable and beneficial posters, and not slap wrists for a technicality?

That is hugely ridiculous. The thread was actually very complimentary about the horse, didn't name any names, not even that of the horse.

HHO Admin - a) please bring back fatty and b) please stop responding to those button pushers who are not long term, valued Forum members.

What happened to free speech?

The thread was a pee take of an earlier thread which also got deleted due to the heated arguement about 'said' man.

I really do wonder about the direction this forum is taking, when we loose people with a wealth of experience and knowledge, sadly leaving us with a forum full of 'please tell me how amazingly well I ride' and 'What colour bandages and saddle cloths will get me the highest marks' threads, along with the 'I weigh 30% of my horses body weight and expect you all to tell me that is fine threads.

Like most people I suspect, without a name, I did not know the horse, or the owner, so can not understand why compared to some other threads this was worse.

Sorry that an experienced person has gone, do hope he ban is not for long

Especially at this time of year when the foaling season is upon us. Just does not make sense:rolleyes:

sorry to see JG gone, what makes me laugh on here is a button pusher can get anything removed that someone else puts on but if you request one of your own posts is removed because it has upset someone they say no and refuse to remove it!!

What actually happened? Im so behind :(
When I first joined the forum it seemed like the admin team kept away unless necessary. Now they seem to be stirring things up what with banning members, moving threads and generally pissing people off a bit :(

An infraction was received because of resurrecting a deleted post. A ban would have been received for toys out of pram, and repeating what the infraction was received for in the first place.

It ain't rocket science folks....

Thats what I was thinking.

There are a lot of stupid warnings and unfractions given out, but JG did have a bit of a tantrum last night and knew exactly what she was doing.

It is indeed a shame she has gone.

To be honest JG's common sense advice, particularly with regard to youngstock is one of the main reasons I visit the forum (I have a very lovely, if rather opinionated filly!). If JG has left permanently then I won't be visiting very often in the future.

It's starting to feel a lot like 1984 around here with threads and members just conveniently 'disappearing'...

'At the Minitrue, Winston is an editor responsible for historical revisionism, concording the past to the Party's ever-changing official version of the past; thus making the government of Oceania seem omniscient. As such, he perpetually rewrites records and alters photographs, rendering the deleted people as "unpersons"; the original documents are incinerated in a "memory hole."'
