It's dark, raining and blowing a gale and I've just lit the log burner but four dogs, six horses, two goats and the ducks and chickens are calling me! Roll on spring!!

I know how you feel. I have just done my horses but unfortunately the chickens had made the way into horses field and couldn't get out so have spent the last forty minutes in the dark squelching around in the mud looking for the silly things. All in bed safe and sound.

After dancing around the field trying to catch escapologist brood mare whilst my big cripple bounced the other side of the fence like a demented spaniel, I feel your pain!
Im thinking of hibernation....and livery!!

I left my two in today so my chores this evening were a little easier. But now they are both done I am back at home in the warm and dry eating a nice plate of lasagne

I spent all morning putting off going to the yard to do my chores as it was throwing it down and gale force winds... He was already out. I eventually grit my teeth and went to get it over with. All I had to do tonight was put him in his nice big bed and give him his tea! SOoooooo glad it didn't leave it till I got home tonight! I hate this weather!!!!

My baggage is at grass livery and when I got there this afternoon the whole herd was lined up with bums to the hedge against the wind and rain. Once the rain had passed they all moved away from the hedge to start grazing and Bella ambled up the field to be fed  Daughters gelding followed about 10 minutes later for his feed  I stood watching them with a nice big mug of hot chocolate to warm me up :p :D

I must be a bit mad.
I've been out in the high winds and rain all day, but have strangly enjoyed my day (maybe because im supposed to be writing a dissertation).
Rode 3 in the tipping rain, howling wind and bright sunshine.Vacuumed my stables (yes - hate spiders falling on my head when brushing them down) went to work in the afternoon, dealing with soggy livery horses and muddy rugs and now have just finished tucking my two up in bed all snug in their rugs. I do love that feeling at the end of the day.

Mum is gonna kill me I tipped the roundal to get the hay out as th bale had collapsed and the roundal went for a run. Through two fences and very almost the cob who noticed it last minute :-O Shes gonna kill me as we only just put the posts back in at the weekend and it was a stressfull experience.

And then to top it off the wind tipped my wheelbarrow of hay :( :(
