... when you find what works and it starts falling in to place? After trying all mannor of bits to jump the dipstick horse I have found one that works! Whoopeeee! We are now in a NS elevator and my god its bl00dy brilliant, we've gone from tearing around like lunatics, crashing through jumps, tripping over jumps and me contiuously ending up on the floor (and A&E with various broken bones) having to practically hold him on the bit, to a calm and collected horse to will pop over the jump and canter steadily on afterwards all this and washing line reins too. No having to hang on for dear life. Admittedly it was only a series of small cross poles but that its self is an achievement as i was getting quite apprehensive about jumping (cant afford to keep getting injured with the joint problems i have). Sorry self indulgent but sooo happy, my confidence is returning!

Yay well done, I love it when it all comes together! I had a weekend like that, a really really good lesson on Ted which resulted him pushing from behind and being very controlled in canter - albeit it was a lap of the school but it felt awesome!
