Dope, clipping and Withdrawal periods

Had to dope my mare to clip her last year but am hoping to take my time and do it without this year or maybe try oxyshot.

However, if I do need to dope her how long before an affil competition must it be done? Ie how long to get out of the system. Thanks

7 days is withdrawl period, i think.

normal dope should be gone from the system in 2days absolute max and prob a lot sooner. there are quicker metabolising sedatives available but they prob dont last long enough for a clip. however, to be sure you wouldn't test positive, 7days is probably recommended.

Depends what you use. Best ask your vet but sedalin is longer than domasedin.

So basically need to attack her 10 days before the event to give time to try and clip without maybe over a couple of days.

sedalin or sedevet? domosedin, how much torbogesic and any acp added to equation? i would allow 7 to 10 days to be ure.
