Dopey McBaydale and the Not-So-Cheeky Boys do Arena UK ODE *comedy vids and photos*

Great to see them both going so well - Jup looks much more settled SJ :)
Glad to hear the chemo's over.
Swap you some Rocky Road for some Sticky ginger cake?

Thanks MnP, he still has his turbo moments now and again.

Sticky ginger cake swap sounds like a good one. Shall we start a forum Baking Club? ;)

For some reason I can't view the photos but sounds like they both did brilliantly! Great presie for the end of chemo, although making you go to Hull of all places is cruel and unusual treatment!

It was just what I needed to be honest, even if I know I can ride better than that. I'm a bit embarrassed,:o but I was working on the assumption that some mental stimulation would make me sharper than lying on the sofa with the Sunday papers would.

The Humber Bridge was the best bit of the trip to Hull...;)

I can hear the conversation now:

"So what we do, right, is come in, all grown up, having been really bold and polite round the rest of the course, make like you're going to take off into the water....then at the last possible moment, slam on the brakes, drop the head, drop a shoulder, spin and gallop to a suitable point to watch the ensuing fun. You go left, I'll go right..."

Don't joke, have I not told you about the 2, or it could have been 3, weeks running when Cal did that in my lessons with Lionel? Soooooo not funny, even on my very squidgy arena. Jup tends to give you a 3 second warning, being the gent that he is.

OK, I give in. I was going to wait until I'd watched the vids before congratualting you on your results but my home computer's far too slow and the boss just won't leave the room for long enough at work . In the absence of contradictory video eveidence I shall assume that both boys were foot perfect and you were only denied a 1-2 as the organisers wanted to give you a break between collecting prizes after your Herculanean efforts :p

I was trying to remember just how bad the weather was on Sunday then twigged that it was the day I went to try the new one then decided it might be best for it to stay on its owner's yard.... they've got an indoor school! ;)

I guess that the Rocky Road's gone? If by any chance there's some left/you make some more I shall be staking out Arena UK most of Saturday - you're welcome to deliver it in person or send a courier :p

can't get piccies and some vids to work, but the bits i've seen i really really like. crikey, how do you ride like that when you're only firing on 2 cylinders, that's what i want to know please.
pretty rossies to start the year, we like that a LOT... nice taster of things to come, big congrats on finishing chemocrap too, and getting shunty-thing installed to avoid needling in future... xxx

Hell if that is you feeling dopey and blasted by chemo heaven help the rest of England once your awake and off it!!
Everyone will have to resign them selves to coming 3rd if they are lucky!

1-2 at London 2012?

I'm sure Jup and Cal are annoying at times but they both look like so much fun to ride! :)

Cal is like the Duracell bunny! I would lurve another Jupiter, I'm even considering using his sire on our Grace to see what I get. We need some pics of your Jup very soon please. :)

I am over the moon about chemo being over, but the dopeyness is really irritating me now.

My Jupi resembles something of a yak at the moment, although im sure there is some form of horse under there somewhere!! Will get some pictures sometime soon hopefully :)

Yup, the Rocky Road is long gone although I'm sure there's a swapping deal to be done with your Grange-de-Lings quiche (yum yum).:) I might try and pop down inbetween moving hunters on Saturday so let me know what time you're there - and what you're doing, oh mysterious one? ;)

Oh yeah, I'm sure Cal and Jup will be ready for 2012, in fact I should go and design a website stating that clearly on it, just in case the selectors have forgotten about me. ;) :D

They are fun, admittedly, but it'd be good if they could keep a lid on some of the more exuberant moments when it matters.

Just managed to sneak to a "proper" computer logn enough to watch the vids ;) Love Cal's "Ears in the air, Don't tell ME what to do" moments :p He looks a lot stronger and more sure of himself in comparison to last season.... and Jupe looks hugely well behaved, have you swapped him?!! :p

It's all up from now now the nasty Chemo is over, so if you can manage 2 rossies when you're "not on your best", you'll be flying this season... :D

Sorry sorry sorry haven't had a chance to watch the vids/look at piccies, but loved the report and hugely impressed with outing: plaiting?? Forgotten how to do that; 1.05m?? Definitely forgotten how to do that :D and a red rosette?? Well that's just showing off ;)

Agree about JLC can't wait to see her :) Oh and relieved and delighted ti see both ours made the cut for Oasby so keep that gin on ice :)

How did I manage to miss this thread? Sorry BD *hangs head in shame* :o

The CBs look fab and were infintitely better behaved than both of mine - hence the reason for the request for a kicking next week

I think two rossies is an excellent start to the season - let's hope they're the first of many (as long as you're not in my section ;))

TD - she made me plait too. I was happy to go for 'neat and tidy' but no - BD and Super-Fran shamed me into doing it

Great report as ever and very pleased to read that your Chemo is over!!!!

The boys look Fab and the results are always an added bonus! 1st and 3rd is not to be sniffed at!!! :D

Did you not see the photos of Jup when he came in last year, looking more like a shetland than anything? I just love those Before and After photos so it seems only fair that you should produce some. ;)

It's when the big ears disappear that I'm in trouble. Maybe Jup was coming out in sympathy at my chemo-ed state? ;)

I'll forgive you for not looking at the vids and piccies, especially if there's skiing packing to be done (jealous? God yes!)

Am very excited that you and mini TD are coming to stay with your scrummy bay ponies, it should be a fun weekend. :D

Jupiter is just fab - would love to steal him for doing workers!!

Glad to hear your Chemo is behind you. You must be made of steel to still be able to go out and compete while going through something like that.
