Hi

last year needed to get rid of my horse very quickly ..I tried selling him myself but was getting nowhere.

I contacted a dealer who was advertising in horse and hound and he agreed to sell him for me..no livery fees payable but he would take a profit of the sale to cover his cost...fine..he came and picked him up.

I drew up a contract with all his address details phone numbers etc, I was in a bit of a state and my husband dealt with the contract signing.

All i know is my husband put the contract in a SAFE PLACE and basically it has gone, can't find it anywhere. All the contact details I had were on it.

The dealer has contacted me a couple of times saying he might have a buyer but I have heard nothing from him now since May 09 and I am getting worried the mobile number which I think is his he is not answering.

All the info I have is that he is a dealer in dorset and his name is Peter, he is mid fifties early sixties grey hair farmer type his wife is younger and blond long hair.

My horse is a 16h chestnut TB named Jim.

I have contatced the passport agency and NED and they have no request to change details on his passport yet, does anyone in the dorset area know of where this person or my horse maybe.

I know it's a long shot.

Sorry, just read that he picked him up. Peter is based at Rempstone stables five mins from Corfe. He used to do a bit of buying and selling when I knew him a few years ago.

Would it be worth getting in touch with H&H advertising dept and asking, as he advertised with them, if they sill have any details?

Matafleur...you are a genius!!!!!

I have just looked him up on the web and I am 99% positive it's him as there is a picture of him on the website, although I couldn't remember his surname I knew it was a foreign sounding.

I love you!!!!

I will give him a ring.

Thank you soooo much.

I sold a horse to him a few months back. He was very upfront and paid me a good price. I kept in contact through his assistant (I assume) Claire who also came to view the horse so I'd met her, and she was very helpful and always replied to my emails. Horsey got on great with them and now has a new home. He also has a lovely coloured stallion that I thought about putting my mare to!

I was up there with a friend a couple of weeks ago looking at a different horse, there were a few chestnut TB's there but not sure if they were mares or geldings.

Good luck.
