Am I correct in thinking Weymouth is same size as usual bit and bradoon is 1/4" or 1/2" bigger? Also what is the difference between sliding and fixed mouthpiece in weymouths'?

The sliding weymouth has cheeks that can move in and out from the horse's face (like a full cheek snaffle), the fixed weymouth has no joints (like a fulmer and therefore can't pinch!)
Re the sizing, I can't remeber if my bradoon was 1/2" wider or 1/4", I would ask your instructor as to what sizes they think are most suitable and whether to go sliding or not, it depends on the horse's preference really.
