Double heartbreak

Thanks again to everyone who has taken the time to write a message of sympathy. It never gets easier but it is a comfort that they had such great, long lives.

And is there any life for a dog better than doing what it was bred to do? It cannot get better for a collie, surely, than herding sheep, although there are lots of fantastic other occupations for their busy brains nowadays, which is wonderful.
