well i did get an extra hour in bed so its not that bad lol

firstly my little mare is worrying me, she is fit and ridden at least 5 times a week we're going on country rides and iv done a 3ft hnter trials the other week and she is full of energy really loves the job cant stand still that sort of type not a nightmare warmblood that joggs just a light cob who has a lot of "go" about her..... only thing is she sweats so much... its really white frothy stuff and i end up using my whip as a sweat scraper!!

i did an 8 mile farm ride saturday it had a few jumps nothing huge and i missed out most of the small ones, my friend was riding her horse who doesnt jump much yet he's young so we mostly trotted over the little ones for him... he was wet and hot, but my mare mildred was really wet hot and frothy.

she cools of straight away and shes not blowing and is not tired at all but it makes me feel bad, i felt like it looked like id ran her into the ground

iv started putting salt in with her food to replace whats lost but i dont know what else to do so any advice pls

also iv got a t.bred for loan i was going to ask for loanee to pay for livery and shoes, ill do all the mucking out so their basicly getting full livery for £28-£35 a week which is rent hay and shavings (and no early mornings) and owner will pay for vaccinations worming ect rugs anything it needs. the t.breds owner is in spain so it would be just like having their own horse, does that seem a good deal?
and what should i write up for the loan agrement?

i would also like to appologise for my spelling i know how much it upsets people, but i do struggle

advice please..... (sits back and waits x)

oh hogged and clipped cant get any more shaved!

im sat in a taxi rank in swinton/salford it is horrible today
but i did ride in cheshire fri and sat so had a good weekend.

when i finished my hunter trials the other week i looked like id not prepared the poor mare at all lol!

the only thing i can think is when im nervous, or whatever we blush and get hot
i think she just gets hot because shes exited?

What are you feeding her? If she's on a 'fast-release' high starch feed, ie one with cereals in it, because you're working her, you might be better changing to a diet with more fibre and oil.
If that's not the case, there's a good magnesium calmer on the market, which might take the edge off her.
Other than that, could she be picking up 'excited' vibed from you?

sorry internet keeps going down...

i feed alpha a and pasture mix but she is only fed after being ridden and only a little feed, just on grass otherwise

i dont like calmers i dont know why but shes not hot to handle (really) lol i like her "omph" lisa's been round sommerford with me shes not bulshy or joggy

and yes i have been told iv got a "hot arse"

I wouldn't worry too much if she's clipped out. Friend's horse is like that, even 20 mins in the school when fully clipped and he's covered in white froth. I would feed an electrolyte supplement (Equine America do one) to make sure you're replacing everything.

Loan horse....I have mine on loan and I pay for everything. I also put my Welshy out on loan a while back and they pay for everything for him. Loan agreement for both is based around the BHS one.

my mare was like that until i got her clipped out lol! i would say if you can get your hands on some electrolytes then that will help put everything back into her (if that makes sense!)

the two ponies iv had on load i've had as if they are mine so pay everything for them and do what i want with them (within reason lol) and i never had a loan agreement with the second which was little risky but we where good friends with his owner! hope that helps, its not very useful i know lol
