I've started riding my horse in a pelham with 2 reins. I've been using my usual rubber rein on the snaffle part then any old rein I could find on the kerb part.
I'm hoping to go to a show soon with this bit combination but I don't have a clue what reins you'd usually use for double reins!!
I've had a look at a few pictures and I 'think' you'd have a plaited rein on the snaffle part and a plain rein on the curb part. Is this correct? Is there a specific style of rein I should use on each?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
