Thought the central Scotland contingent would be pleased to hear that the Doune Pick a Fence schedule is now out. :D

As I've said a million times on here before, I did this last year and really enjoyed it.

Click here for course pics from last year, although not sure how much they change it from year to year as I've only done it the once. Very good skinny practice ;) but no water. I am out to get that damn pimple fence this year! ;)

Exciting!!! Ours is written and in envelope already ;)

We should do a group coursewalk again, I think quite a few of us will be travelling over for it xx

Good with me! :D Mine is also printed off and in envelope. They've changed it from last year though and Open class (non-PC) is now last to run, last year it was first which was great as it was a boiling hot day so we ran first thing while it wasn't too hot and could chill out and enjoy the sunshine after finishing.

Fingers crossed for nice weather again this year so that Princess Hopalong doesn't have to wade through the mud that everyone before her has churned up! ;)

Oh come on Rosie - you know you want to come to this instead!!!! :D

i sooooo want to :(
but good friend is organiseing it and i promised... i'd be in soo much trouble if i didn't go...
how far away is strathallen and doune though?? maybe i could do WH as warm up then come over to doune?! PMSL!!!

Am i not also your good friend Rosie? I need your support! I came and cheered for you at Gleneagles - so now you have to come and do the same for me lol!

Strathallan is only 20 miles away - would only take you 45 minutes to get there!

Ooooh I could maybe go! Still got 2 months to get big-bellied ginger beast fit :D

Will it still be snowing do you think ?

Sounds like we could make a request for a HHO class at this rate?! ;)

n_l_m: yes, here is your get-fit incentive with M! :D But shhhh... don't give the weather ideas! It was scorchio last year, so hopefully same again this year. It's got to turn into summer some time this year surely?!

measles, NiknKia- see ya there! :D

Well I keep posting off my wee envelopes in the hope that something actually goes ahead!

I've decided to do some BSJA this weekend regardless of whether HallyB is on or not as I really need to jump something before it...

I am new on here, but saw this and thought I would post.

I have been struggling to decide between the show at Stratallan (as a new member of the Strathearn RC) I feel that I should go to that.

But reading this I think I have made my mind up to have a go at the novice course with Brave (who is a giant coward Welsh D - whoever named him got it badly wrong). I figure if the under 10's can do it so can I, even if we end up doing to 1'6" jumps.

It will however only be the 2nd time he will have done any XC jumping, the first will be at the area 22 camp in a couple of weeks.

I think there may be a few brown trouser moments - damn those cream johphur rules.

I am sure you will be absolutely fine, and the nice thing with the PAF is that you can actually pick and choose what you do, so no pressure other than to enjoy yourself and get some experience/confidence. :)

Sadly, I'll be W/D my entry :( as have been offered a lift up to a BE event the day before and may as well take up the kind offer and get more value out of my BE membership. But I am aiming to be home on the Sat night, so if no other plans, will try make the effort to come along at some point and cheer on the HHO posse, sounds like there will be quite a few folk and if it's as nice a day as last year (scorchio! ) then it will be a fab day. :)

Haven't ever done a xc yet, but i've done jumpx and always wanted to try xc. Course looks so nice i'm thinking about trying it. really scared though.

Is that Scotsburn FJ? V exciting.

Haven't done anything about entering this. I really must get my finger out and get some targets

Yup, Scotsburn BE90. :) Heard it's a nice course, think we've managed to rally up a wee posse to go up so fingers crossed for nice weather and big BBQ! :)

Hope you're feeling better, still not finding much enthusiasm for the get fit campaign? :( Or are you just fed up of M flinging her shoes off to try sabotaging it?!

I know, the wicked moo! Went out and bought her 2 pairs of o/r boots yesterday, in the hope that layering may work! So long as it stays dry for a bit I stand a chance of keeping shoes on for a while longer. Got my first evening ride of the year today (I know, a mere month after the clock's changed!) so making progress

Ha ha, have a brilliant image of her feet twice the size as they're covered in a million OR boots and her having to peel them off in order to get up to nonsense! :p Glad you'd a nice ride, I went out for a quick hack (had to be back in time for Glee of course! :D ) too, Hopalong is apparently too fit for a 1hr quick hack, she bounced the whole way home!
