Doxiepoo - a new one on me!

Just seen some doxiepoos for sale. Now I’m not really into dogs but I had to look to see what they were. (Dachshund and miniature toy poodle if you’re wondering). Ridiculous price too.

I'd be interested to see what it looks like but really it's just another overpriced mongrel. Sausage body on thin spindly poodle legs I would imagine.

I remember a friend telling me about a genuinely accidental mating she knew of, dachshund x pug. I had this nightmarish vision of daxies with pug heads but apparently they came out really cute. This was back before all the silly names and stupid prices.

Many times these crosses just result in dogs that have the health/behavioural problems of two breeds, instead of one. I read that the man who started it all, with labradoodles, really regrets it. He said that he'd unleashed a monster! I have to agree. Dogs should be bred for health and good temperament, not because they're fashionable and people think they look cute. ?
