Well hello again. Sorry i didnt report earlier but my friend isnt too well and i have been feeling rather tired.
On Sunday, mummy took me to stressage because I insisted i was a dressage diva so should never have to jump anything ever again....I really should have kept quiet.
The first insult was being woken by mummy at 6am! 6AM!!!!!
Doesnt she know we need our beauty sleep????
Then in go the rollers. She had done my hair for me the night before. I dont like plaits at all, unless of course they have pretty beads on the end. I tried reallly hard to rub them out so mummy would decide to put me back in the field instead but can you believe this...She took me to the competition with a SPIKY MANE!!!!! How uncaring is she? I looked like a punk rocker...So Eighties daaalings!!!!
Then into the box and off we went. A whole hour later we stopped! An hour!!!! Surely that is against the law?
Anyway I was very shaken by the trauma of the journey and shook constantly until mummy got on board. Then all my plans came back to me!!! Yep I remembered to cnater off everytime she asked me to trot. Then when she asked me to canter I trotted. I spooked at everything I could find yet still she insisted on taking me to that field with those white boards in it. The dressage arena!!!!
Now why is it that whenever you go into the arena at a competition, everything you have planned and practised just goes out of your mind! Well initially i was fine and I did a lovely serpentine shape down the centre line! After that i just forgot everything! I didnt remember to jump on the judges car or spook at my own shadow. I even forgot to stop 3 times on the centre line. Even when mummys number came off and got caught in my legs for a few seconds i didnt think to throw my teddies out of the pram.
To cut a long story short I did well and got a yellow frilly thing which seemed to please mum lots........unfortunately.
I like mummy to be pleased but it worried me she will make me do some more....
Of course by the time i had got to the second test i was a little calmer and managed to execute some of my plans effectively. I was supposed to canter across each diagonal...Yeah...right!!! I trotted!! HE! HE! On both reins. I leapt into canter! And I managed to nearly stop twice on the last centre line!!! Didnt quite manage it though as mummy had her pony club legs on.
Mummy didnt wait for the results as there were some very nice horses there. Well sorry, but no, there was only ONE!!!! ME!!!!
(Well merlin was a bit smexy!)
She has just told me that I came sixth!
Out of 30! Even more
BUGGER!!!!!! Really messed up didnt I!!!! Guess that means we wil be doing some more. Lets hope she doesnt want me to do anything harder. Oh well if it steers her away from SJ I suppose thats a good thing. I would rather be a dressage diva than a chavvy showjumper anyday!!!
Mummy says we are going cross country schooling soon! Now I am once again considering myself a dressage diva, best I get planning again!
Love Dozzie
