Drag hunting in Leicestershire?

Readyfield Bloodhounds have a website, as do the Cambridge Draghounds and both hold meets in Leicestershire.

Are you planning on going out with them then? :)

Thanks sjs. Yes seriously considering going out with them. Have u been? Would u recommend it?
I'm a newbie to hunting (my pony has hunted) & my local pack are the fernie who have a massive following so thought I might try bloodhound hunting as I assume it will be quieter? :)

I haven't been out with the Readyfield, but I have been out with the Cranwell Bloodhounds in Lincolnshire. I would say though - only go out with the Readyfield if you are brave!! They are fast, how an average off 150 riders out per day and there is a lot of jumping. I would suggest you go out with the Fernie, they have Newcomers days and Pony Club meets and if you choose one of these, they will definitely be quieter. Otherwise, get out soon and go Autumn Hunting which will be perfect if you haven't been hunting before as it will be slower.

Good luck :)

recommend readyfield if you enjoy fast work and like a lot of jumping :) opportunities to jump some whopping hedges etc, that being said there has always been alternative gates to go through when Ive been out with them not that we have taken any yet :p but there is a lot of fast work :)
bdw both me and the mare were new to hunting when we went out with the Readyfield and we will happily buddy up with you if you decide you want to come out for the day on one of the leicestershire meets :)
