Any drag hunts local to me?
I think Mendip farmers and Berkeley, hunt the traditional way but obviously within the law.
Im in North Somerset.

Its great fun. Horses follow the scent of a hound. Its faster than fox hunting too.

The Royal Artillery Hunt operates as a drag pack, but is based on Salisbury Plain. That's the nearest one I know of in this area. Years ago there used to be a pack based in Wedmore called the Isle of Wedmore Draghounds, but I don't think it still exists. It used to be great though, fast and furious, but fun

I don't think the RA is as 'fast and furious' as some. We went out with them with small children, and it was pretty laid back - in between the wild gallops across the plain obviously...

West Somerset vale are very friendly and reasonable, hunt on quantocks and in vale around there. I travel there from north somerset . hunt secretary's very friendly and website good, they are holding a hunter trial tomorrow at stockland Lovell if looking for something to do this weekend !
