I have a coloured cob x which I am in 2 minds wether to sell or not? He was broken late and is abit worried of new people but is fine when he gets to know you. I rode him for a few weeks when I had him but he has been off since before the snow as I dont have any facilities! Now do I leave him until the night draw out and bring him on myself to keep or sell on later (I ride for a friend so its not like I dont have anything to ride), or try and sell him cheap as is???? Im worried about him getting really behind as he is 7 this year and I dont want to stunt him if he could be out enjoying himself wit someone else!! I did make a rash decision and put him on horsemart yesterday but he has disappeared down the pges already. Would either of the above be better if I were to decide to sell???? Or would anyone want to share this sort of horse (free share obviously as I would appreciate the help!!

Sorry for the waffle.... my head is hurting!! :(

Uhhh, someone please sort my head out for me!!! I feel like m love of horses is causing me to eglect my family but then I need to time with the horses to cope with my family lol (3 kids under 5 and a useless hubby lol, and the local shows start up soon so I will be taking the kid to those too)

Any help much appreciated!!

it depends on what you want to do with him? some horses are not broken in until 7-8 anyway so i wouldnt worry to much about that.

if you could school and ride him yourself then great i would maybe do a bit with him for a few hours a week and then if you decide you want to sell he has had a bit more experience.
or you could send him off to someone to re break for a week or 2 and then sell or keep him.

it is all down to what you want to do.
i would hold off until spring to sell (my opinion only) as i have found things are not selling as well at the moment)
and he may not be worth as much at the moment but with a few months and a bit of work and better weather if you decide to sell say may for example you would get more for him.

i hope that made sense (it probably didnt though) lol

it is what you think you can cope with. if you think he will cope better with you until spring and with more training before going to a new home then do that. if you decide then you dont want to sell then dont.

sorry for not being very helpful xx
