i'm sure some of you will think this me being a drama queen..

anyway, dad has said once and for all that Ernie is to be sold.. i've said fine, then sell Squeak too and i will move out and give up!

that's just the way i feel.. horses like that come along once in a lifetime!

i wouldn't even know where to start looking for people with that sort of money..

ETS, my dad wouldn't give a toss how much i wanted the horse.. he's sell his own mother given half the chance!

I dont think you are being a drama queen at all hon, but as you say, horses like that only come along once in a lifetime, so make the most of having him whilst you can, some people never get that, and you mayend up with him for longer than you imagine. And obviously only you know what Squeak can be, but from what i have seen, he may be another very specia horse, just he will be YOUR horse, as you've had him from day one. Horses are tough, as you know more than anyone i'm sure, but stick with it.

Edited cos I wasnt making sense.

If you do feel it's your horse of a lifetime I would start rocking the boat for money. There are people out there who have it and if you really want to keep him then what do you have to loose?.
There was a girl on the yard I used to work (SJ) who got this horse from our boss to produce. She did a great job and took him up to Junior Champs. The boss decided it was the best time to sell so put a horse on the market. She was only 17yrs old and very desperate to keep the horse so she wrote adverts to newspapers and magazines asking for a sponsor. Nothing happened for 3 months, horse got lame and couldn't be sold at the time, then some weird guy with the money phoned her and bought the horse for her! She was to teach his little daughter to ride in return. Good things happen.
