Dream HHO yard - who would you have on it and why :D

PandorasJar because we agree on most things

Starzann again for the same reasons

Oberon for advice on feed and hoof care

Amymay for her no nonsence approach

Littlelegs for her advice and honesty
 
Thanks Moomin1, I'd have you too. At least I wouldn't have to worry about you not looking after your horse ! :D

Then I'd have Mithras as she's really interesting and CP Trayes even though we've drawn swords on many occasions, I like the way she puts her point across and is quite balanced and realistic in her opinions, which I respect.

Then on a totally selfish note, I'd have Measles because of the lovely horses she sources. Problem is, I'd have to buy some of the horses, fill the extra stables and boot everyone off the yard...:o

Actually, there are quite a few HHOers that I'd happily share a yard with, I love many of the genuine and committed horse owners, the gifted ones and the funny, witty ones.
 
Aww Dee and Polar, thank you! I would love being on a yard with Dee and Kai. Plus since I'm not breeding at the moment I can stalk Dee and her mum next year when baby is due! Kai is so gorgeous and full of personality and a darn good jumper.

And as far as Dee and Polar Sky the people, well PS is a fab cook. Would have to somehow nag her to bring stuff in! And Dee is a hard worker with a great sense of humor and always fighting for the right thing. PS by the way is also the same.

I'd also like Oberon and in general knowledgable people who don't always have to be right and are pleasant. Because a great group of well rounded horse people is the best group. And we like to laugh and not take ourselves too serious.

I've seen a few contenders for the Darwin award on here of late, but i dont think you qualify. ;)

Justabob - her replies always make me squirm and laugh at the same time
Cptrayes who has been just so helpful to me with advice
Wagtail because I just love the empathy that she appears to express towards horses
Victoria1980x - always polite and never comes across as opinionated (after all I'd have Cpt and Justabob for the opinionated people!)

Well I'd have Pip and Calv as they're both mine, Ajay as he was my first pony and the FC as he's a laugh! Or I might let my grooms horse stay there I guess as I assume on a fantasy yard you don't muck out ;)

Oh am I meant to have other people? I don't think I like sharing that much :p
 
There are lots I'd like to share a yard with but my first choices would be:

Ffionwinnie, Springy, Littlelegs

The last place would go to Amymay

I'd then promptly make Amymay the yard manager and let her have the stable for free as long as she sorts out arguements in her no nonsense manner :D
 
I don't know anyone on here in real life so it would be based on their posts...


amymay because she seems knowledgeable and she tells it how it is! (Without being nasty)
JFTD because I love the things she gets up to and think she'd get me and my native out having a lot of fun
measles because she seems to have a knack for finding beautiful, talented horses


And then (all for the same purpose - lessons!) either...

Tarrsteps because she seems incredibly knowledgeable
nikkimariet because I could have lessons and then drool over her beautiful bay!

I couldn't possibly narrow it down to 4 :eek: There are some awesome people on here (I met a few today :p ) who would all be great fun to have around... Dafthoss would keep pushing me and Fergs and threatening me with fence posts while tirelessly doing poles for me and photoing. Auslander would keep us on the straight and narrow, Rhino, Nikicb, saffronwelshcob, Billie, Kat and so many others would be generally lovely, entertaining and amusing in equal measure.

I wouldn't want D_D on my yard as her nag is only fit to be made into a frozen pizza :cool:
 
Just love these popularity threads! I'd take three people from my yard who are sane and treat their horses and people well. There are more than three good people on my yard, but these three stick out for niceness.
 
I don't think I could pick just 4, in all honesty there are far more than that on here I think I would enjoy sharing a yard with, although in all honesty if I had the choice I'd just fill the spare boxes by buying more of my own.

I thought the point of the thread was that it was a HHo yard! There are people I know in real life that I would choose over this lot any day :D:D
 
I would have anyone of any age as long as
A they could ride my youngsters and get them competing
b looked after their horses and were ultra kind with no bashing and beating
c were interesting and intelligent enough to have a good discussion without getting worked up and able to understand others point of view even if they had to agree to differ
d If they could cope with being on the yard together and be friendly but not in my pocket

Ha! This is brilliant - I'm actually doing this in real life with basically 4 boxes to be shared on our own little yard with marmalade76 (fingers crossed!) - who has become a very good friend I did in fact meet through HHO!!
