I am SO happy to read this. Shame about it maybe being her last foal....however at least she is going to survive.

Sorry, I didn't realise who you were when I replied to your post earlier... just figured it out.

Here's to a run of good luck for all HHO breeders for a change. Hope the remainder of the season improves for you. xx

I am so thrilled to hear this news! What a relief!

I do hope she can carry on and have more foalies in the future, but it's not the end of the world if she sadly can't. You will have her to enjoy in other ways.

Have you been allowed to re-name Borat?

That's really good news, I have been waiting for an update as having been through the same myself, I know what it is like!

Will keep everything crossed that she continues to get better!

xx

I am so glad she is okay - what a strong mare. fingers crossed she continues to recover as well as she is now - She's out of the worst of it by the sounds of things.

Oh Lordy! Looks like I have some catching up to do! Sounds like things are on the up though, which can only be a good thing! I didn't even know she'd foaled - I REALLY need to get on here more! Is the baby palomino?

It's wonderful news that she's going to be ok but I'm curious as to why the vet would give her "loads of oxytocin". Surely oxytocin is given to stimulate contractions during birth and to help expel the placenta. Did the vet think that all the placenta hadn't come away?
