This is a storey for everyone that has suffered some form of tradgedy. Back in February of 2009 we had a fire set by Arsonists who thought it would be good fun to burn the hay and straw. I lost four horses that day including my beloved Arab Gelding Johara El Kheil. He was a horse of a life time, from buying him as a baby and watching him grow into a beautiful show horse, then in 2002 he became ridden Arabian of the Year.
This year has been a time for rebuilding the farm, piecing together my life and getting my remaining horses back in one place. Along the way I have managed to get to a few shows and only the other week my stallion El Sahir or Merlin to his friends qualified for the big event, HOYS. He is ridden by my good friend, as I am too big and fat. Lol.
It will be hard to go back to hoys and he has big hooves to fill but we will have some fun and enjoy the day.
