Looking for some advice i have a 9mth sheltland x groomed twice a day but each time her mane has like dread locks in it (takes ages to groom out!) her mane is very wavy and had like ringlets in in never seen a mane like it lol, any ideas what i can use on it? put pic in so you can see how thick her fore lock is!

how cute is she!! i want one lol!

i used to use kids spray on hair detangler when my pony lived out and got his mane in a mess! l'oreal do one called sweet pear tangle tamer!

hehe how cute! shes gonna have a mane like my shetland x by the sounds of things (about three inches thick and about 4 inches below the bottom of her neck!) Only think ive found that works is loads and loads and loads of mane and tail conditioner!

It's good that you are so dedicated and spend the time grooming and bonding, but personally with a mane like that I would be too lazy to worry too much! My shetland x has a similar forelock, and interestingly it never grows long, even though his mane is below his neck. Wonder why - maybe so they can see where they are going....

Yours is so cute.

Not the cheapest but worth every penny - Survivor detangler from eQyss - get it from tailgator.co.uk.

You could also put the mane in plaits or go the whole hog if you are keeping the mane long and bag it. I do this with my gypsy cob, both mane and tail.
