Drenched again this morning - sick of this weather!

When will it ever stop raining? This morning I took all three mares out and the dogs too so managed to get all animals exercised in one go! But we were rained on, hailed on and all generally very miserable. My tack is soaked again as are the other two bridles and my saddle hasn't had a chance to dry out all week. The Rayburn is dripping with wet coats and hats and I will soon run out of numnahs. I've got a dressage comp on Sunday and haven't been able to get in the arena once to practise - so not hoping for very good results!

Please someone - make it stop raining!

Yes it's grim. Our field is normally free draining, but all our water troughs (we collect water off the barn roof) are overflowing and the whole place is a quagmire.

We've had be bring everything but the tiny ponies in which means we're already up to the full 22 per day muck out and it isn't even christmas yet. Gonna be a bloody long winter

Boss is tearing his hair out because fab new arena (laid in the summer) STILL isn't draining properly - has already been dug up once to fix the drain.

My whippets are in permanent sulk mode because apparently it is 'my fault' that the weather is so horrid. they stay huddled up in the tack room looking hard done to all day.

WHEN WILL IT END?????

It's horrid - the yard has only just dried out from the floods!! At least we aren't several feet underwater at the moment tho

Yep weather is rubbish. Ive ridden once this week in the pooring rain. Managed to do one groundwork session this week also. Im normally riding every day but not at the moment.
Everytime i step out of work to do the horses it starts peeing down.

Hope your dressage comp goes well & the rain holds off. Ive got a saddle fitting for 2 of mine sunday re-arranged from last Sunday due to the weather. Im not holding much hope up for this w-end either.

When will it ever end - our arena is more like a swimming pool. My horse doesnt even want to go out in the field, she just plants herself and gives me "why would you make me go out in this" look - she really doent like rain or wind.

Luckily we have a fab lunge pen, but my god are we getting bored, with lunging & going down the lanes - not much hacking here, and we are really into our schooling. The rain has got to stop soon !!!!! Please!!!!

Its cold and dry up here, but still very high winds. I suspect we might have snow rather than rain today.
